Kim Zolciak, Kroy back Kash’s football game as son KJ sits in jail

Kim Zolciak and estranged husband Kroy Biermann put their family drama aside to support their son Kash at his high school football game as their 15-year-old son Kroy Jr. remains jailed without bond. The Real Housewives of Atlanta veteran and her ex showed up to Alpharetta on Saturday, a gesture that felt almost surreal given the firestorm consuming their family right now. But that’s the script when you’ve got kids in the game — or in jail waiting for a court hearing.

The moment is a microcosm of the mess. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum was spotted at the game in Alpharetta, Georgia … arriving with daughter Kaia and rocking an all-black athletic look with white sneakers. Kroy, a former Atlanta Falcons linebacker who played for seven years before his retirement in 2016, showed up and dipped out fast — photographed leaving roughly 30 minutes after Kim arrived and before the game had ended. Not exactly father-of-the-year energy, but it’s where the co-parenting wheels stand right now.

The reason this moment hits different: Kroy Jr. remains behind bars after his August 17 arrest on aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery charges stemming from allegations made by a female classmate. Not detained pending trial. Not home with an ankle monitor. Behind bars, no bond, waiting for a September 1 hearing while being charged as an adult. Those are serious allegations that move fast in Georgia courts, especially when the charges involve minors.

Kim has vehemently denied the allegations against her son — which is what any parent in that position would do. But reality TV and celebrity don’t stop court dates. And right now, while 15-year-old KJ is locked up waiting for his court appearance, his parents are putting differences aside to show up for their 14-year-old brother Kash on the field. That’s parenting in crisis mode: compartmentalization masquerading as normalcy.

The broader context matters. Kim Zolciak and her estranged husband have been going through a messy divorce since 2023, with Biermann filing for divorce in May after nearly 12 years of marriage. Kroy Biermann filed for sole custody of his four children with ex Kim Zolciak in March 2026. These are custody battles happening in real-time, and now they’re intersecting with criminal allegations against one of their kids. The legal machinery is grinding on multiple fronts.

Kash, for the record, has his own stock rising in the football world. KJ Biermann, 13, and Kash Biermann, 12, have developed a love for the game and are putting in the work, with early morning workouts, after school work outs, boats load of food, commitment, drive and a true love for the game, with KJ being 6’1 and Kash being 6’1. The boys are following their dad’s blueprint, trying to make their own names. But it’s hard to separate the field from what’s happening in the courtroom.

The 16BARS take: This is what modern family implosion looks like — showing up for one kid’s game while another sits locked up without bond. Kim and Kroy proved they can coparent for 90 minutes on a Saturday, but the real test is whether they can protect their family through whatever comes next in court.
