Kroy Biermann breaks silence, spotted with youngest son after arrest crisis hits

The weight just got real for Kroy Biermann. On Saturday, August 22, the former Atlanta Falcons linebacker was spotted in public for the first time since his eldest son’s world collapsed — and he looked like a man carrying his family’s nightmare on his shoulders.

The former NFL linebacker was seen picking up his 14-year-old son Kash from practice on Saturday, and while standing with him, he kept an eye on his phone and a look of concentration on his face. No interviews. No statement. Just a dad trying to keep his other kids grounded while chaos erupts at home.

Five days earlier, the story broke that hit different. Kroy Jr. was arrested on August 17 and remains in custody. Kroy Biermann Jr., known as “KJ,” has been charged with felony aggravated sodomy and felony aggravated sexual battery. The 15-year-old has been charged as an adult. The alleged assault occurred on April 23 in the family changing area of a Life Time Fitness on North Point Parkway. Authorities allege Biermann Jr. led a 15-year-old female acquaintance into a changing room, physically restrained her, and forced her to engage in sexual acts against her will.

The allegations are graphic, the stakes are felony charges as an adult, and the family’s entire world got flipped upside down in 48 hours. Here’s the reality check: The police report notes the alleged victim was examined at a hospital, and doctors did not find evidence of male DNA in her mouth or vagina. And the attorney for Kroy Biermann Jr. released a statement saying his client is 100% innocent and presented evidence including a passed Polygraph, as well as evidence of other prior false allegations by the alleged victim. Additionally, the officer’s report notes the GBI found NO male DNA on or inside the areas the alleged victim claimed she was assaulted.

Meanwhile, Kim denied the allegations in a statement to TMZ, saying “The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.” The defense is already locked in.

But here’s the harder narrative: Kroy Sr. and Kim have been in a messy divorce war since May 2023. The former NFL star accused his ex of committing “fraud and deceit” when they agreed upon their current joint custody arrangement last month. Two parents at war. A teenage son facing adult felony charges. And now, the patriarch—a respected NFL name—is just trying to keep his other kids’ lives from completely derailing.

This isn’t sports beef or rap drama. This is family catastrophe playing out in real time. Kroy picking up Kash from football practice on a Saturday, phone in hand, concentration on his face—that’s not a man avoiding the press. That’s a man protecting what’s left of normal.

The 16BARS take: When the culture’s biggest beefs go legal and the allegations are this serious, money and lawyers become the only thing that matters. Kroy Biermann Sr. just learned that his son’s freedom—and the family’s reputation—hangs on a jury’s decision about DNA evidence and a teenager’s word against another teenager’s word. The next move is in court, and nobody wins this one.
