Bonnie Bella speaks up on Stevie J’s parenting as mom & dad clash

Family drama is heating up REAL quick in the Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez household—and this time, their 9-year-old daughter Bonnie Bella is the one with the receipts.
According to clips from Joseline’s family reality show, Bonnie Bella opened up honestly about wanting more time with her father, telling her mom she needs her dad to be more present in her life. It’s a conversation that’s already got Twitter debating whose side to take, but this ain’t the first time these two have gone to war over the kid.
Joseline’s been speaking out about how Stevie J allegedly doesn’t contribute financially to caring for Bonnie Bella, and she’s been doing it LOUD. The tension escalated when media personality Benzino appeared to defend Stevie and blast Joseline for discussing child support with her nine-year-old. Benzino argued it was inappropriate conversation for Bonnie’s age—but Joseline wasn’t backing down, doubling down on her claims in the comment section.
Then Stevie J had to respond. In a new Instagram video, shirtless and fresh from a workout, Stevie appeared on camera accusing Joseline of pushing a “fake narrative,” insisting “I love and take care of all my kids”. He even referenced a court order—but here’s the thing: back when Bonnie was born in December 2016, Stevie agreed to pay $1000 monthly in child support, and the couple reached a custody agreement that gave Joseline primary custody while Stevie got joint custody.
This beef goes DEEP. Joseline and Stevie were together from 2011 to 2016, with much of their relationship playing out on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, and they parted ways in 2016—the same year Bonnie Bella was born in December. By May 2019, Stevie J had filed court documents accusing Joseline of “parental alienation,” claiming she didn’t allow him to see or contact his daughter for over a month. These two have been battling custody on and off for nearly a decade.
But here’s where it gets messier: at the red carpet premiere of her new series “Get Money Girls” in April 2026, Joseline stated that her husband DJ Ballistic Beats was her daughter’s father, despite Stevie J being Bonnie Bella’s biological dad. Joseline married Ballistic Beats (born Robin Jimmy Ingouma) in 2022. The Puerto Rican Princess basically said Ballistic—not Stevie—is the father figure Bonnie sees every day. That hit different, especially coming from a mom who’s been publicly dragging Stevie’s name for not being present.
So now we’ve got a 9-year-old caught in the middle, her biological dad saying he pays and loves her, her mom saying he doesn’t contribute, and her stepfather basically being positioned as the real dad. This isn’t just celebrity gossip—this is a kid’s life playing out on the internet for millions to judge.
The 16BARS take: Family courts exist for a reason, but reality TV happens in the comments section. Bonnie deserves her dad—whether it’s Stevie, Ballistic, or both—but she doesn’t deserve to have her parenting grievances weaponized on a reality show for ratings. This needs to stay off the gram and stay IN court.
